John Johnston and Martha Wilcocks Grave Restoration
John and Martha's grave is in need of some tender loving care. Over the years the grave foundations have eroded and the monument has shifted and is now tilting noticeably. The monument is leaning about 10 degrees more than this time last year, so at that rate it will fall over in the not too distant future. The inscription for Martha is now quite difficult to read and will soon be entirely unreadable.

The children of John and Martha were: Eleanor, Catherine , Margaret, John George, Hannah, Alexander, and Thomas. Margaret and Thomas both died as children. Eleanor married John MADILL of Puebla. Catherine married George Bush. John George married Frances Honora Sharp and later Sarah Ann Stephens. Hannah married Alexander Hogg. Alexander married Alice Allen.
